Digital audio editing is the process of manipulating and assembling digital audio files into a pre-determined format which is limited only by the creativity of the audio designer / producer. These audio files may be created by simply recording an existing sound or using various audio “synthesizers” to create a unique new sound. Once created, this sound can be edited in a the same way as text and images in a word processing environment. This provides an almost limitless range of creative possibilities limited only by the amount of time and money that an organization is prepared to spend.
